These are Nicky's (Tyson's sister) kids. They were with us the first day. It was so fun to spend time with them and to watch our kids build cousin memories. It worked out great because I was able to go on rides with Tyson while they sat with Parker and we watched their baby Camden while they went together. I think we should make this a tradition.
We got to see most of the characters. Parker was totally amazed by them. He would just stand there and stare at them with the biggest smile on his face. When he hugged Goofy, I had to seriously pull him off. My favorite is always Minnie. Notice the stocking hats on my boys. They had to wear them almost the entire time.
Jaxon's cousins Ryan and Jack always talk about how they got picked for the Jedi training when they went to Disney Land. Well, this was #1 on Jaxon's list of things to do. The first day, just before the down pour, he tried and didn't get picked and it crushed him, but he was a good sport. I just knew we were going to spend all three days waiting for the next show praying he'd get picked, but luckily, the next time we tried he was lucky enough to get picked. Those of you who don't know Jaxon too well, he is a HUGE HUGE fan of Star Wars. He collects all the little action figures, watches the movies and cartoons every chance he gets and plays any Star Wars games he can. So when he got picked to be in the Jedi training and got to fight this freaky Star Wars guy (Darth Moll???) he was way excited. It was so fun to watch him.
This is a picture of Jaxon on the last day. We were waiting in a line for the Aladin show. He decided to sit down and wait. A minute later I looked down and he had fallen asleep on the ground with his head between my legs. It had been a long, and eventful three days and he did just what I wished I could do at that moment.
I can't wait to go back again. Disney Land really is the most happy place on earth. Parker hasn't stopped talking about it. Yesterday at the doctor, he sat there and told Dr. Gibby all about Disney Land, and how he was brave and how the pirates were really just robots and that he got to see star wars guys and Woody and the mean fish in the water and he was laying on the ground showing him how the sharks swim with their tail and how the snow monster tried to get Jaxon and next time he can go on Splash Mountain and on and on. I can't believe all the details that he can remember. It was definately worth it. I am already ready to go back.

ha ha. You and Derrick...two peas in a pod!
Bummer it was so wet. Glad you had a good time though. I am always amazed at what impresses children & what they remember.
You guys look GOOD!
Finally, your Disneyland post...I've been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting!! We have already made Disneyland a tradition - love, love, love that place!! I was so excited to see that Jaxon got to be a Jedi. That's great! Jarin hasn't stopped talking about it either - NON-STOP!! He keeps asking if we can go back to our hotel now. Thanks for the fun memories. Would you e-mail me that picture of the kids by the waterfront?, and any others you may have that include my kiddos?
I think the picture of Jaxon is my favorite. The one of him asleep. I've thought the same thing when McKay falls asleep somewhere - I want to go to sleep!
